Respect Nature

With every turn of the pedals, you can enjoy the breathtaking nature of Upper Lusatia and Saxon Switzerland - and give something back at the same time. By purchasing a RockHead starter pack, €2.50 goes directly to our cooperation partner, the Forest for Saxony Foundation. Your contribution supports the reforestation of local forests, in particular the Zittau municipal forest in 2025. Robust tree species such as English oak, black alder and small-leaved linden will be planted on an area of 1.4 hectares to preserve the forest for future generations. Together, we are ensuring that nature is preserved in our regions - for bikers and all other nature lovers.

Behavior in the forest - the RockHead code of conduct

Only ride on existing paths: This helps to protect the environment and prevent erosion. Please also note that use of the RockHead trail is at your own risk. As this is purely a digital route recommendation, we accept no liability for accidents of any kind, including typical forest hazards such as falling trees. Therefore, ride carefully and with the necessary caution at all times and pay attention to local signs.

Respect other users: Be considerate of other trail users such as hikers, runners and horse riders. Give them right of way and communicate in a friendly manner.

Control your speed: Adjust your speed to the external conditions and your riding ability.

Do not disturb animals and keep your distance from wildlife: Don't leave food or waste behind. Avoid riding in the forest at dusk and at night to be considerate of the animals.

Don't leave any garbage behind: Take all your garbage back with you, including food packaging, tissues, repair materials and other waste.

Carry appropriate equipment: Make sure you have the right equipment with you including helmet, spares, tools and sufficient water and food.

Plan ahead: Find out about local conditions and current weather forecasts. Make sure your bike and equipment are in good condition.
